"CLARA"
Breed: Shire, Height: 17.2 Hands; Weight: Approx. 1800 lbs; Color: Black with White Feathers and Blaze.
Type: Cold-blooded Draft Horse (other Draft horses include: Clydesdale, Percheron, Suffolk, Belgian, Friesian, Haflinger)
What She Does: Clara is a vaulting, riding and driving horse and is our primary instructor for our Driving Clinics. Learn more about our Driving Here. She has tons of personality and such sheer size you cannot forget meeting her! She LOVES being scratched and will skillfully negotiate any and all carrots in your possession.

"CRUISIN'"
Breed: Thoroughbred, Height: 16.2 Hands; Weight: Approx. 1200 lbs; Color: Blood Bay w/socks and small blaze.
Type: Hot-Blooded Horse (other Hot Blooded Horses: Arabian)
What He Does: As with most Thoroughbreds, Cruisin' was tried on the racetrack, but insisted on jumping any shadows he found (I guess you can't run very fast if your jumping all the time). He then began a successful jumping career in the show ring which included Modified Hunter Champion at the prestigious Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. Cruisin' is only for our more advanced riders, while he is a gentle on the ground, he can be true to his hot-blooded nature in the saddle. 
Quote: CRUISIN' is the true "Love-Bug" of the Barn; he would just as soon cuddle than get goodies.

"DUTCHESS'"
Breed: Welsh Pony; Height: 13 Hands; Weight: Approx. 700 lbs; Color: Chestnut/White Paint.
Type: Warm-Blooded Pony (other Warm-Blooded Ponies: Hackney Pony, Welsh Cob, Dales Pony)
What He Does: A delightful, beautiful addition to our family! We love this little lady.

"LITTLE LEO"
Breed: Welsh Pony; Height: 12.1-3/4 Hands (Perm Small Card); Weight: Approx. 700 lbs; Color: Grey/White.
Type: Warm-Blooded Pony (other Warm-Blooded Ponies: Hackney Pony, Welsh Cob, Dales Pony)
What He Does: Little Leo has personality plus, AND his personality is matched with his good looks. Leo is a fancy show pony who has little girls winning ribbons in the show ring. Leo is a bundle of energy and fun and will never leave you feeling lonely. If he fit in the car, the girls' would bring him home to live in your yard. Might want to check the backseat!

"BOGART"
Breed: New Zeland Sport Pony; Height: 12.1 Hands; Weight: Approx. 650 lbs; Color: Bay w/white blaze.
Type: Warm-Blooded Pony (other Warm-Blooded Ponies: Hackney Pony, Welsh Cob, Dales Pony)
What He Does: Bogart is a great pony! He is gentle enough with the little ones, but is a blast for the older or smaller intermediate riders. He Loves to Jump and is ready to take you into the show ring this spring!

"TRU"
Breed: Quarter Horse; Height: 17.2 Hands; Weight: Approx. 1400 lbs; Color: Bay with white socks and blaze.
Type: Warm-Blooded Horse (other Warm-Blooded Horses: Morgan, Rocky Mountain Horse)
What He Does: TRU spent many successful years in the show ring and as an English Pleasure and Halter Horse. (under construction--More to come)

"DOLCE"

"SMOOTHY"
Breed: Quarter Horse; Height: 16 Hands; Weight: Approx. 1400 lbs; Color: Chestnut.
Type: Warm-Blooded Horse (other Warm-Blooded Horses: Morgan )
What He Does: SMOOTHY is an amazing horse. He has been a rope horse, a cutting horse, a reining horse and has even run barrels. The amazing part is he can then turn around and do dressage quite impressively for a quarter horse! Whatever you want, if you know how to ask him, he will give you the moon. On the flip-side, if you are a beginner, he will take excellent care of you. He knows the difference and will be gentle and kind. We are very lucky to have such great and versatile horse in our barn.

"PUMPKIN"
Registered Name: Pumpkin; Breed: Miniature Horse; Height: 28 Inches or 7 hands; Weight: Approx. 100 lbs; Color: Chestnut/White Paint.
What He Does: Pumpkin is just 7 months old, but he will not get much bigger, in fact, he came home in an SUV! He is available to kids and adults for horsemanship and B-Day Parties. If you have any fear about horses, this pint-sized little guy will cure you for sure!
"MONTE"
Registered Name: Monte Diego; Breed: Arabian; Height: 14.2 Hands; Weight: Approx. 900 lbs; Color: Dapple Grey.
Type: Hot-Blooded Horse (other Hot-Blooded Horses: Thoroughbred )
What He Does: MONTE has done a bit of it all, from English and Western Pleasure to Trails and Dressage, Monty's versatility is what the Arabian is famous for! Good natured and friendly, Monty is always eager to say hello.

"CASPER"

"MERLIN"

"Mr. SANDMAN"

"TEHAMA"
Breed: Shetland/Welsh Cross; Height: 11 Hands; Weight: Approx. 500 lbs; Color: Paint-Chestnut/White.
Type: Warm-Blooded Pony (other Warm-Blooded Ponies: Welsh Cob, Connemara, Hackney Pony, Dales Pony )
What She Does: TEHAMA is just 3 years old. She is trained to drive and is just started under saddle. She is a fantastic and spunky little filly to drive, like a little roadster! Interesting fact: while Tehama is only half Shetland, the Shetland Pony is the strongest of all horses or ponies for their size and can pull twice their weight where the Heavy Draft breeds can only pull half their weight... I guess it depends on what you need to move!

"BAY BERRY -- aka: BB"
Breed: Quarter Pony; Height: 13.2 Hands; Weight: Approx. 800 lbs; Color: Bay -- no markings.
Type: Warm-Blooded Pony (other Warm-Blooded Ponies: Welsh Cob, Connemara, Hackney Pony, Dales Pony )
What She Does: Bay Berry, or "BB," as she became affectionately known as, visits California Riding Academy for our Summer Camps June thru Aug. The Quarter Pony is bred to be just like a Quarter Horse just on a smaller scale. BB is a large and fun pony for our campers.

"PARKER"
Breed: Hackney Pony; Height: 12.2 Hands; Weight: Approx. 600 lbs; Color: Dark Bay -- star.
Type: Warm-Blooded Pony (other Warm-Blooded Ponies: Welsh Cob, Connemara, Dales Pony )
What He Does: We took a chance and rescued this Little Man. Wow! How lucky for both of us, he is such a Gentleman and a Driving Machine! Plus Parker is a super little Riding Pony for our summer camps; he visits us June through Aug. Parker is also part of our Driving Clinics. The Hackney Pony is bred to be just like the Large Driving Hackney just on a smaller scale. 
Quote: Why do we call him Parker? Because when he stops, as any good Hackney Show Pony does, he "parks-out" hence "Parker!"
"CHARLIE"
While Charlie was only with us for a short time, he quickly became a favorite with the Summer Campers. A kind gentleman with a heart of gold.
May Charlie forever have green pastures.
